Introducing: The New England Musicology Conference Calendar

We are lucky enough to boast a wide variety and great number of musicological happenings in the region of our chapter. Unfortunately, there have been an increasing number of conflicts between institutional conferences and chapter meetings, as well as meetings of related societies. With an eye toward avoiding these conflicts, I have established a calendar (embedded below).  I will maintain the calendar which will have the chapter meetings of the New England Conference of Music Theorists, New England Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology, as well as our own. I will include departmental conferences and symposia as I hear of them.

So, I need your help! If you are scheduling a musicology conference, please check for conflicts on this calendar. More importantly, if you are hosting a musicology (or related) conference, PLEASE e-mail ams.newengland@gmail.com ASAP. I will be happy to add it to the calendar.

I'm hoping this will foster increased participation in the chapter, as well as in departmental activities.

On behalf of the AMS-NE, I thank you for your assistance!

Rebecca Marchand
AMS New England Chapter President
